“The Importance of Historical Reenactment and Reconstruction Events in the Modern World: Enhancement, Culture and Development.”

Why Participate. Historical reenactments are not only a valuable legacy of our past, but are also a powerful tool for cultural, educational and economic growth. Through this meeting, we intend to:

• Preserving and passing on local traditions, strengthening the link between community and history.
• Promote intergenerational education and participation by bringing young people closer to cultural heritage.
• Stimulate local and European development by enhancing historical events as levers for tourism and the local economy.

The meeting will be divided into three thematic blocks, interspersed with moments of open discussion and conclusions, for a comprehensive study of the following topics:

• Insights into how historical events preserve Tuscan traditions and promote cultural identity.
• Innovative strategies to maintain the authenticity of reenactments while making them current and engaging.

2. Educational and Social Impact

• Role of reenactments in strengthening a sense of belonging and social cohesion.
• Collaborations between schools, institutions and events to foster cross-skills training and enhancement of historical memory.

3. Local and European Development

• Municipal initiatives and strategies to integrate re-enactments into the area’s economic and tourism development path.
• Experiences and proposals to ensure the sustainability and visibility of these events at the national and European level.
